Here are the first five days of my original January Scripture Challenge! I hope you enjoy the passages I selected and my thoughts on them. If you are following along and participating, let me know of anything you like or any suggestions you have! I hope everyone has had a wonderful start of the new year and is appreciating a fresh start that can reboot your happy and healthy adventure, especially with Scripture. 😊❤
January 1: Psalm 18:28-31
God is in our lives to bring light when we are feeling in the dark. Whatever your darkness may be, God is always there to make it better and bring light to the situation. God’s plan for each of us is perfect, and we have to trust in his plan for us. We can’t fully understand His plan, but we have to trust in His plan because it is the perfect plan for us.
January 2: Psalm 18:31-35
God is the strength within us, and his path for us is perfect. He makes sure we stay on our path. He teaches us to be strong in the face of adversity. He holds us up, especially at our weakest.
January 3: Colossians 3:12-14
We should begin the new year by being merciful, kind, and humble. The beginning of a new year is also a good time to forgive all of those who have wronged us. God forgives each of us; we should do the same for others.
January 4: Colossians 3:15-17
Remember that God is always with you because He is within you in your heart. Let God’s word influence you and fulfill you. Take in His teachings; apply them to your life and share them with others. Everything you do should be done in God’s name, and should be done in a Christian manner.
January 5: Deuteronomy 31:6-8
Be strong, God has instilled strength in you to use for good. Do not be fearful of anything, because God will be right by your side. He never will let you down because He only wants to see you be happy.
