Uninvited: Chapter 14

Chapter 14: Moving Through the Desperate In-Between

This chapter is about what happens when we find ourselves in the moments between greatness that are difficult to maneuver and decipher.

“If we place our hope and future in the hands of our unchanging, unflinching God who never leaves us or forsakes us, we’ll find healing and freedom” (172).

God never fails us and always provides us. Put your Life and His hands, especially during the tough times so He can help you.

“We must feel the pain to heal the pain” (173).

At first when I read this, I thought, “What!? Who wants to feel pain? Why!?” Then I realized, we all feel pain and we’re supposed to acknowledge it’s existence in our lives in order to heal it. Pain helps us to grow better too.

“Pain is the gift that motivates us to fight with brave tenacity and fierce determination knowing there’s healing on the other side” (173).

We have to TRUST that God will help us and heal our pain. Pain is ESSENTIAL in life because it helps us be strong, courageous, and passionate.

“Pain is the sensation that indicates a transformation is needed” (178).

In order to grow and become our best selves, pain is necessary in our lives.

“Fear can’t catch what it can no longer reach” (179).

When you become stronger than fear and trust that God will do everything to help you, then fear can’t touch you.

Lysa goes on to introduce Psalm 91 and breaks down each verse in the psalm. There is some TRUE GOLD as far as advice goes in this section. So why not share? Because I want you to pick up this book and read this goodness for yourself, and to come to your own conclusions on how it’s applicable to you in your happy and healthy adventure. 😊❤️
